My interest in complex functional objects drew me first to computers where I searched for and learned to see the beauty and grace of a well designed system. The four characters which I found in computers are embodied in furniture: complexity, functionality, beauty and grace, and to those it adds tangibility. These five together cause me to pursue a career as a fine furniture designer and maker.
